Designing stickers in Procreate? We see it all the time — and when it's set up right, the results are stunning. But Procreate isn't built for print, so a few small setup mistakes can turn into blurry or rough-looking stickers.
No worries. Here's everything you need to know to get print-ready results every time.
Start With the Right Canvas
This is the single most important step. Set your canvas to 300 DPI and make sure it's at your final sticker size or larger.
For example, if you want a 3" sticker, set your canvas to 3" x 3" at 300 DPI — or go bigger at 6" x 6" at 300 DPI so you can scale down cleanly without losing quality.
Skip the Border — We Handle That
You don't need to add a border or cut line in your file. Our system automatically generates a clean, professional cut line around your artwork.
Want a border? You can add one directly in our sticker builder — white or any color you'd like. Just focus on your artwork and keep important elements away from the edges.
Keep Your Edges Clean and Sharp
Zoom in to 100% and check the edges of your design before exporting. Watch out for fuzzy edges, low-res textures, and tiny details that might break apart when printed. Clean, sharp edges make a huge difference in the final product.
Export the Right File
When you're ready to export, PNG is the best option. JPEG is accepted but not recommended since it doesn't support transparency. And don't export as PSD — it's not supported in our builder.
Before exporting, turn off your background layer so your file has a transparent background. This gives your sticker that clean, professional look.
Uploading Your Design
Upload your file and you'll see a live preview where you can size your artwork. We generate the cut line automatically. One important note: don't try to scale up low-resolution files — if it's blurry in the preview, go back and export at a larger size.
